Dorado Cares was founded in 2022 and is a non-profit committed to helping and advancing the people and communities of Puerto Rico. Through direct donations, deliveries of supplies, volunteer work, and the distribution of grants Dorado Cares has made a direct impact to various communities of the island. Dorado Cares is a foundation established and operated by residents in the various communities in Dorado, to make the greatest impact in Puerto Rico.

WHY DORADO CARES

Dorado Cares is a foundation established and supported by Dorado residents. Through actions not words, Dorado Cares seeks to make the greatest impact in Puerto Rico. Its Board of Directors are entrusted to ensure that 100% of all charitable giving goes directly to the source of greatest need. All administrative overhead is fully funded by the founding members. We are proudly CECFL Certified, officially recognized under Puerto Rico’s Child Welfare Program (Act 60 compliant).

Dorado Cares was first registered and certified with Comisión Especial Conjunta de Fondos Legislativos para Impacto Comunitario (CECFL) as of January 1 2023 and remains registered each year thereafter. This certification means that our central theme throughout all our 5 Missions is “Child Welfare” in Puerto Rico. This certification also enables Dorado Cares to receive donations from those Act 60 decree holders with a requirement to donate to a registered child welfare charity.
