ABOUT US
Dorado Cares is a foundation established and operated by residents in the various communities in Dorado, to make the greatest impact in Puerto Rico. Its Board of Directors are entrusted to ensure that 100% of all charitable giving goes directly to the intended beneficiaries. All administrative costs are paid for by the founding partners.
DORADO CARES MISSION
1. Emergency Resources – A maintained resource pool of machinery and equipment such as fuel, generators, pressure washers, chain saws, trucks, water-tankers, tractors, trailers, graders, bob cats and other disaster and remediation assets for loan and use in the aftermath of natural disasters.
2. Community Relief – the direct provision of relief aid such as food, water, cleaning supplies, bedding, clothing, personal hygiene supplies, school supplies etc. to distribute at any time, especially during moments of hardship.
3. Direct Financial Aid to support PR Municipal infrastructure projects aimed particularly at youth recreation and sporting projects.
4. Social and Community Activities in PR aimed at greater integration, awareness and acceptance of all age, race, religion, ethnicity, and socio-economic backgrounds.
5. Child poverty and welfare in PR focused on addressing food insecurity, access to healthcare and access to educational resources and opportunities.
